Directions to Camp Vandeventer

Waterloo is located on Illinois Route 3, approximately 8 miles south of Columbia, Illinois, and about 12 miles from the Jefferson Barracks Bridge (I-255), south of St. Louis, Missouri.  After reaching Waterloo proceed West on Route 156 for approximately 2.5 miles.  Look for the Fairgrounds on your right, and go down into a valley were you will cross Fountain Creek.  Just before you crest the top of the next hill you'll see Camp Hill road on the right.  Follow Camp Road for approximately 1/2 mile and watch for a rock road turning off to the right and a small red sign that reads "Camp Vandeventer."  From here it is about 0.8 miles to the camp.  Use extreme caution.  The rock road leading to the camp is narrow and many corners are blind.   Drive slowly.
